Clear skies in Dubai/Sharjah?
Posted: 12 Jul 06 7:47 AM

Hi! I was hoping whether someone can let me know where are some of the best sites to go observing in Dubai and Sharjah?  I used to go a few years back to what is now known as highway 611 but I think it is kind of useless now because although it's still not lighted (it will be soon though) the traffic on it has increased tremendously so that you can't get a break from the headlights...

I'm looking for sites that don't require a lot of driving but I can still get semi-clear skies.  I know it's near impossible during the summer...

Thanks.

Rana

Yes , it's almost impossible to get good observing sky in summer, we usually go to Mahdha area in Oman in road to Hatta, we turn to right from last shell filing station, we travel on this road about 20KM to get good sky,

the nearest area I would recommend is the kalba road till you reach to 2nd bridge then take left turn on top of bridge and travel to about 2 KM or get down in between dunes and reasonable sky could be visible.

please feel free to contact us for any help my numbers are on first page, 050-6246172
