| Good afternoon,
I'm french and I'm in Oman since January ,in Sohar.I came with my telescop Skywatcher 8" F/D 5 ,it was very hard for the customhouses because it arrived after 3 weeks .
I started to practice astronomy alone around sohar ,but I'm happy to meet this forum for speaking of astronomy and ,may be,make observation or discuss with some people play astronomy.
I did a avi of the eclipse of moon and many photos .
I see last week-end that Dubai is not so far from Sohar.

Dear Marc,
Welcome to our Forum, you may post your images, if you could not please send it to me and I will, we welcome all conterbution in Astronomy, if you need any help please do not hesitate.

Do you known if is there a site or shop about astronomy to visit in Oman ?
I find some shop in Dubai.when I go ,I try to find .

| I am new to Astronomy and Dubai. I find the sky fairly obscured, does it get significantly better in the desert outside of town? |
